Presentation Of Awards: To Lotte Company Limited By The Government Of Ghana

In 2019 Ghana National Famers Day Awards, Lotte Company Limited was adjudged as deserving recognition for promoting Ghana Cocoa. However, Lotte was unable to attend the 35th National Farmer’s Day Celebration held in the Volta Regional Capital, Ho, on 6th December, 2019. 

 

During this year’s National Farmers’ Day celebration, the President of Ghana, specifically acknowledged Cocoa farmers of Ghana, for producing premium cocoa beans and for that matter giving Ghana an international image and recognition.

 

His Excellency the President, therefore, directed The ambassador of Ghana to Japan to present the award to Lotte on his behalf, to express Ghana’s appreciation to Lotte for its continued support to the development of the Cocoa Sector, as well as for their continuous showcase of Ghana’s premier cocoa.

 

H.E Mr. Frank Okyere In the light of the above, said it is his fervent hope and expectation that Today’s presentation will serve as another landmark in the friendship and cooperation between Ghana and Lotte Company Limited, whose relationship dates back to February, 1964, when the company first produced the “Ghana” chocolate brand.

express his profound gratitude to the President of Ghana for counting the Lotte company worthy for such an award.

 

He said during the covid 19 pandemic Ghana Chocolate brand got higher sales than all the produced.
He shows his sincere appreciation to the Ghana Cocoa farmers for their continuous production since 1964 Lotte company has never had scarcity in supply of Ghana cocoa beans. He said when the covid 19 pandemic situation calm down, he will fine time to visit Ghana.
