Porridge seller damages woman’s right eye

A 40-year-old porridge seller identified as Mellie Zackariah, popularly known as Aunty Mellie, has damaged the right eye of another woman.

The victim, 50-year-old Tema Michel Camp of Kakasunanka near Tema Michel Camp in the Greater Accra Region.

Eunice, a mother of seven, has told Adom News that the incident happened when the suspect attacked her on Monday.

“I went to buy corn dough to prepare banku for my children and on my return, someone hit me with metal from behind. I fell fell in the process only to later realise it was Mellie who still held onto me and hit me many more times,” she narrated.

Eunice’s my right eye got damaged as a result of the attack.

For now, Adom News has not been able to get Aunty Mellie to speak to the issue as such effort has not materialised.

Eunice is currently receiving treatment at the Tema General Hospital with investigations by the police underway.
