Police officer given 10-day ultimatum to produce murder suspect under his care

The suspect, who had sustained gunshot wounds while attempting to evade arrest, was under armed guard at the hospital.

However, on February 13, 2025, at approximately 7:00 AM, he managed to flee from his hospital bed while the officer assigned to guard him, Lance Corporal James Daniel Boadi, had stepped away to retrieve medication from the pharmacy.

The officer immediately reported the escape to his station officer, Chief Inspector Nicholas Dwamena, prompting an urgent search for the fugitive. Lance Corporal Boadi has been given a 10-day deadline to locate the suspect.

Security agencies have since launched a manhunt for the escapee, urging the public to remain vigilant and report any information that could lead to his recapture.

Police have also released photographs of the suspect to assist in identification.

Residents in the area have been advised to take precautionary measures and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station as efforts to re-arrest the suspect intensify.
