Police deny owning accident truck with police stickers on it in viral video

The Ghana Police Service has said it does not own a vehicle with police stickers on it involved in accident in a video that has gone viral.

According to the Police, initial investigation indicates that the truck belongs to the Road Safety Management Services Ltd.

“The attention of the Ghana Police Service has been drawn to a viral video in which a truck, with registration number ER 765 – 17, with Police stickers pasted on it, is involved in an accident at Nkonsa in the Ashanti Region.

“We would like to state that the said truck does not belong to the Ghana Police Service, contrary to claims being circulated on social media and other media platforms.” a statement issued by the Police clarified.

Investigation has since commenced into the whole incident.
