Police Arrest Togbe Shitor, Two Others For Faking His Death

The popular fetish Priest-Togbe Shitor reported dead in Akyem Kukurantumi in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region rather faked his death, according to Akyem Tafo Police.

The fetish priest -Togbe Shitor connived with his followers for the pseudocide. The news of his alleged passing away went viral as his followers and unsuspecting sympathizers mourned him amid the firing of gunshots at the shrine and singing of dirges.

The sudden death of the fetish priest Monday sparked fears that he may have died from coronavirus given that he was seen walking in Koforidua a few hours before the said death.

Police detectives from Akyem New Tafo dispatched to the shrine rather than found out the death was staged. The fetishes priest managed to escape but two of his followers were arrested.

But he has since reported himself to the Police and they will be put before a court at New Tafo-Akyem on Thursday, June 18, 2020 to face the law.

The controversial fetish priest has been involved in many controversies and criminalities.

He is currently standing trial before a Circuit Court in Koforidua for molesting some contestants of the 2019 Miss Commonwealth Beauty Pageant.

He allegedly made his victims go naked at the shrine and lashed with a machete after Princess Duncan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Miss Commonwealth Pageant, organizer of the event, had allegedly dragged the beauty contestants to the shrine over a missing GH¢500.
