A 35-year-old woman identified as Esther Morrison met her untimely death after she was poisoned by her boyfriend at Obotanfo in the Awutu Senya West district in the central region.

Information gathered by Adom News revealed the suspect Daniel Ayuba gave the deceased a commotion to abort the pregnancy with no knowledge how deadly it could be.

Confirming the incident to Adom News, the Awutu Breku District Police Commander DSP Johnson Hessey said the deceased and the suspect went out to have fun and was later rushed to the Awutu Breku health centre because blood started oozing from her mouth.

“The lady was referred to the Winneba trauma hospital due to the severity of the condition but died upon arrival while Daniel told the nurses he was going to bring money and never came back so we suspected a foul play.”

He however stated Daniel has been arrested for further investigations while the body has been deposited at the police hospital mortuary.

DSP Hessey further urged citizens to remain calm since effective measures have been put in place to protect them.
