A phone dealer, Nana Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Terry or Dinero, has gone missing after allegedly meeting a client at Teshie in Accra.
Terry, who works with a colleague at a phone shop in Circle, has been missing for several days, raising concerns among his family, friends and colleagues.
According to his colleague, who was the last person to communicate with him before his disappearance, Terry sent him a WhatsApp message around midnight on Sunday.
In the message, Terry allegedly told his colleague that he had been “set up” by a girl in a room.
According to a report by EDHUB, Terry also sent a photograph of the room and shared a location indicating that he was in Teshie.
However, his colleague became suspicious during the conversation because the messages did not appear to be written in Terry’s usual style.
He explained that Terry normally addressed him as “bro”, but the person communicating with him used the word “boy”.
This prompted him to ask whether he was actually communicating with Terry.
The colleague later received another message purportedly from Terry, stating that he had been released and had left the location.
Concern grew several hours later when Terry’s family contacted his colleague and informed him that he had not returned home.
Attempts to reach Terry on his phone were unsuccessful.
The colleague subsequently revisited their WhatsApp conversation and discovered that the photograph of the room and the location Terry had shared had been deleted.
Since then, Terry’s family and friends have been unable to contact him, while his current whereabouts remain unknown.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have raised concerns among those close to him, particularly because of the unusual messages, the deleted photograph and location, and the fact that he has remained unreachable.
There is currently no confirmed information about what happened to Terry after the communication from Teshie.
Meanwhile, his car has been retrieved and a suspect has been arrested in connection with the matter.
