In a recent Instagram post, Peter Okoye of the famous Nigerian music duo P-Square publicly addressed ongoing controversies involving his twin brother Paul Okoye and their elder brother Jude Okoye. The post comes amid rumors that Peter had reported Paul to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), leading to a significant fallout within the family.

Peter began by clarifying that while P-Square is a global brand, the duo remains a family unit. He emphasized that the fans have the right to know about the issues affecting the brand because of their significant role in P-Square’s success.

He refuted claims that he reported his brother Paul to the EFCC, a rumor that gained traction after Paul accused Peter of filing a petition against him. According to Peter, this accusation was based on misinformation. He insisted that his actions were directed solely at Jude and his wife, Ifeoma, who allegedly set up a secret company, Northside Music, to siphon off millions of dollars in P-Square’s royalties over the years.

Peter explained that he discovered the existence of Northside Music, a company similar in name to their management firm, Northside Entertainment, during routine checks. Shocked by the revelation, he confronted Paul multiple times about the company and the missing royalties, but Paul denied any knowledge of the situation.

Peter revealed that he took the matter to the EFCC after Jude and Paul refused to address his concerns. He clarified that the petition was focused on Jude and Ifeoma as the directors of Northside Music, not on Paul, who he claims was never implicated in the scheme.

However, Paul was invited for questioning by the EFCC due to his involvement in transactions with Northside Music. During the investigation, it was revealed that Jude had been transferring P-Square’s royalties to his personal account through a bureau de change and then splitting the funds with Paul. Jude claimed these payments were related to a loan he was repaying Paul for the sale of their house in America, a point that Paul has used to assert his innocence.

Peter concluded his post by promising to release all relevant documents, including the EFCC’s final report, once the investigation is complete. He expressed his disappointment in the betrayal by his family members but remained firm in his stance to seek justice through legal means.

The ongoing saga has left fans and industry observers shocked, as P-Square’s brand continues to grapple with public and private challenges.
