Medikal trolled over choice of outfit to Ghana’s High Commission in UK

Popular Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal, has been criticized on social media for his outfit during a courtesy visit to Ghana’s High Commission in the UK.

As seen in videos shared on social media, Medikal was clad in a black two-piece jumpsuit with a cap, a pair of sneakers, and shades as he greeted the High Commissioner, who was dressed in a suit.

The stark contrast between the two did not go well with netizens, who took to social media to lambast Medikal for his outfit, with many inquiring why he did not dress more formally for such a visit.

“In London, you can’t even go to the club with that dressing. You’ll be bounced unless you’re the landlord,” one post said.

“So my man couldn’t even dress a bit decent. Formal outfit or something. Copying blindly. The high commission shouldn’t have even allowed him in with that road outfit and cap on. Grow up, my brother. “I was going to go watch the show, but after this, I’ve changed my mind,” posted another.

“Even black Americans won’t behave like this,” said another.

Medikal, who is currently in the UK ahead of his upcoming concert at the Indigo O2 arena on May 3, paid a courtesy visit to the High Commission of Ghana in London on April 25, 2024.

The High Commissioner, Papa Owusu-Ankomah, warmly received him, offering the musician support and expressing pride in Medikal‘s success.
