Otumfuo urges Asante citizens in New York and Ohio to help develop Asanteman

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is urging Asanteman citizens based in New York and Ohio in the United States of America to contribute their quota to the development and advancement of Asanteman, Ashanti Region and the country at large.

According to the Asantehene, Asanteman residents in New York and Ohio must emulate the example of their counterparts in Denver, Colorado who have been in constant touch with Asanteman through various donations and development initiatives aimed at moving the area forward.

A representative of the Asantehene, Nana Adusei Atenewa Ampem, addressing guests to this year’s Asanteman day celebrations in North America, extolled the Denver Asanteman Association for contributing to help improve healthcare delivery in the region

According to him, they have donated various hospital equipment and medicines to various hospitals across Asanteman and deserved commendation for their immeasurable contribution to the region, particularly in the area of healthcare delivery and education.

“ It is the desire of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to see your brothers in New York and Ohio, as well as other places, emulate your example by contributing their quota too, to the development and advancement of Asanteman and Ghana at large” said the representative in a gathering comprising the Ashanti Regional Minister, the first deputy speaker of parliament and distinguished media practitioner Kwame Adinkra among others .

The representative conveyed Otumfuo’s gratitude to all citizens of Asanteman who have in diverse ways contributed to the advancement of Asanteman, encouraging them to do more.
