Otumfuo supports education in Ga Dangbe with GH¢500,000

The King of Asanteman, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has donated GH¢500,000 to support the education of brilliant but needy students in Ga Dangbe.

He donated a durbar organized to mark his visit to the Ga Kingdom.

“I want to donate an amount of GH¢500,000.00 to the Ga Education Fund to help in the education of less-privileged Ga children,” he said.

On the relationship between himself and the Ga Mantse, Otumfuo urged the people of Ga Dangbe and the Ashanti Kingdom to live harmoniously, indicating that in modernity, what is needed is a war for development.

“The people of Ga and Ashanti must unite to develop our people. All Ga chiefs must unite behind Nii Teiko Tsuru II. Unity and development must be our focus in the interests of our children. The fight now should be for development in the interest of the future generation,” he stated.

The King used the opportunity to thank the Ga Mantse for his presence at his 25th anniversary celebration.

“I appreciate your presence during my 25th anniversary celebration. You showed love. This is a reciprocal gesture,” he said.
