Otto Addo vows to secure win against Madagascar

Ghana will play away to Madagascar on Monday, March 24, in Round 6 of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The Black Stars will be heading into the clash as Group I leaders following their thumping 5-0 win against Chad on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Having secured the top spot in the group, coach Otto Addo insists that his side must do everything to hold onto it.

“It’s always easier when you’re on top. We want to stay there. We will try to do everything to beat Madagascar on Monday to keep the top spot,” the Ghana coach stressed.

A win for the Black Stars on Monday will be crucial for Coach Otto Addo’s side, ensuring that they improve their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Madagascar, only trailing Ghana by two points in the Group I standings will also be keen on earning the three points to retake the top spot.
