Otto Addo seeks Ga Mantse’s blessings ahead of Black Stars vs Chad match

Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, paid a courtesy call on King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, to seek his blessings ahead of the Black Stars’ upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Currently second in their group with 9 points from 4 games, the Black Stars will continue their quest to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup with matches against Chad in Accra and Madagascar in Morocco on March 21 and March 24, respectively.

However, following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the nation has been left reeling.

Despite this setback, Addo remains optimistic that, with collective support and determination, Ghana can reclaim its footballing glory.

In a video shared by JoySports, Addo called on the Ga Mantse and his people to rally behind the team in their upcoming games.

“I’m here to seek your support and guidance. We have difficult matches ahead of us. Ghanaians urgently need victories to qualify for the World Cup, and for that, I believe we need the support of all Ghanaians, especially the Ga people and the Ga Chief, to back us in our task so that the whole nation can be happy and celebrate if we make it to the World Cup,” he said.

Addo is expected to announce his squad for the qualifiers before the end of the week.
