Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi Aloba, responds to pregnancy rumors and criticism

Wunmi Aloba, widow of the late Afrobeats sensation Ilerioluwa ‘Mohbad’ Aloba, has spoken out following rumors of a pregnancy and accusations of moving on too quickly after her husband’s tragic death.

Speculation surrounding Wunmi intensified after a discussion on TikTok hosted by media personality Baba Latisneh, where some questioned her loyalty to Mohbad’s memory, accusing her of not grieving long enough.

Amid the backlash, Wunmi addressed the issue via Instagram on October 11, 2024. In her post, she dismissed the criticism, expressing that she prioritizes her personal well-being over societal expectations.

“I am way more interested in how my life feels to me, than how it looks to others,” she wrote, conveying a message of resilience and self-assurance.

Despite the negative attention, Wunmi made it clear that she remains focused on her own journey, choosing self-truth over external judgment.
