One soldier dead, five others injured in ghastly accident at Binduri

In a tragic incident near Binduri in the Upper East Region, one soldier has died and five others have been seriously injured following a ghastly accident on October 15, 2024, according to 3news.com report.

The soldiers, who were returning to base after providing escort for a government official, encountered the accident when their truck reportedly skidded off the road in Bazua and somersaulted multiple times.

According to TV3’s Upper East Regional correspondent, Castro Senyalah, the military truck, with registration number 15 GA 04, was heading from Bawku to Bazua when the accident occurred.

The deceased soldier is reported to be a member of the 11 Mechanised Battalion in Bawku.

The five injured soldiers were transported to Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and Tamale Teaching Hospital for medical attention.
