Okyeame, wife killed at Abura Dunkwa

Residents of Abura Dunkwa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District in the Central Region woke up to a sad spectacle of a man and his wife lying dead in a pool of blood in their residence at Abura Dunkwa on Monday.

The throats of the couple, identified as Okyeame Kojo Ankomah and Ohemaa Efuah, had been slashed by an unknown assailant.

The bodies of the victims were discovered by their son, Kwame Mensah, Monday morning.

No response

Confirming the story to the Daily Graphic via telephone in Cape Coast, the AAK District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jonathan K. Bannie, said the bodies of the deceased were found by their son when they failed to respond to his calls.

He said the young man, who was leaving for work early in the morning, called his parents several times but did not receive any response from them.

The young man, consequently, broke into the room, only to find his parents murdered in cold blood and their bodies lying on the carpet in the room.

Regional Police Command

ASP Bannie said the bodies had since been deposited at the Abura Dunkwa Government Hospital, while the Central Regional Police Command had taken over investigations into the case.
