Okuapehene denounces Kwesi Addo as Amamprobihene

Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III has denounced Kwasi Akuffo III as Amamprobihene.

This is after Kwasi Akuffo III was identified to have been parading himself as Amamprobihene for over two years.

In a video shared online, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III narrated that multiple attempts, including delegations and summons, were sent to Kwesi Akuffo but he continued to disregard the Okuapehene’s authority.

The video shared by the Okuapehene palace showed the Okuapehene visibly angry, addressing the gathered audience, while asserting his authority over the Amamprobi jurisdiction.

During the 5th Awukudae observation, the Okuapehene stated, “Earlier, when the linguist was speaking, he mentioned some issues with regard to Amamprobi. Anything that has to do with Amamprobi is my business. Our ancestors established that place. My blood runs through that town as well. Everyone gathered here, including visitors, and even those fighting us, know the history behind Amamprobi.

“So, why is someone parading himself as the Amamprobihene or whatever he calls himself? When I ascended this throne, there was nothing like an Amamprobihene or even an Odikro from from that place.”

Expressing his frustration, he also accused Kwasi Akuffo III of engaging in deforestation.

“I have been reliably informed that he has been felling trees (deforestation), engaging in all sorts of nuisance. If he truly works with me, he would have honoured my summons.

“But as the Okuapehene, I have the absolute powers over that land. Therefore, I won’t allow that so-called Amamprobihene to disrespect me,” the Okuapehene stated.
