Oguaa Traditional Council grateful to Bawumia for his contribution to renovating Oguamanhene’s palace

Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has been commended by the Ogua Traditional area for his benevolence towards the 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Fetu Afahye, as well as the 25th Anniversary of the enstoolment of Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Arthur.

Delivering a welcome address on behalf of the Oguaa Traditional Council, the Chairperson of the 60th Anniversary Planning Committee Charlotte Osei, expressed gratitude to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his generous contribution to renovating the Oguamanhene’s palace to give it a befitting facelift for the 60th Anniversary celebrations. This gesture was highly appreciated by the Traditional Council.

In June this year, Dr. Bawumia, while paying a courtesy call on the Oguaamanhene and the Oguaa Traditional Council, promised to help renovate the Palace as a gift to Osabarima, on the 25th Anniversary of his enstoolment as Oguaamanhene, and also for the 60th Anniversary celebration of the Fetu Afahye Festival.

Dr. Bawumia was among dignitaries who attended the grand durbar to climax the celebration, held in Cape Coast on Saturday.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, made an historic journey to Cape Coast to grace the occasion.’
