Notorious thief caught by passengers at VIP, STC bus stations confesses to series of thefts

An alleged notorious thief, identified as Thompson, who has reportedly been operating around the VIP and STC bus stations in the Greater Accra Region, has been apprehended by some passengers.

In a viral video capturing the incident, a man is seen restraining and questioning Thompson while occasionally hitting him.

The man interrogates Thompson about several stolen items.

“He is a criminal. He has been going from station to station stealing from people, so take a good look at his face,” the man is heard saying in the video.

Man: Where did you take the stolen items?

Thompson: I took them to Circle.

Man: Are you the one who stole these phones, and did you wipe them?

Thompson: Yes.

Man: Where is the laptop?

Thompson: I gave it to one of my friends.

Man: If I take you to the police station, would you be able to show me where your friend is?

Thompson: Yes.
