Nollywood director, Reginald Ebere reportedly dies

Reginald Ebere, a prominent scriptwriter and director, has reportedly passed away, causing a wave of mourning in the Nollywood industry.

The news of his demise has been circulating on social media platforms. Segun Arinze, a veteran movie star, shared the heartbreaking news on the Nollywood Giants WhatsApp platform, a community for renowned Nigerian entertainers.

Perekeme Odon, the National Secretary of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), also confirmed the tragic loss.

It is worth noting that Ebere had been battling illness for a while, and fellow movie stars had previously appealed for donations to cover his medical expenses.

“We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear brother and colleague, Mr. Reginald Ebere,” Perekeme Odon.
