More 2,000 voters captured in limited voters’ registration exercise in Jomoro

About 2,873 prospective voters have so far been registered in the ongoing limited voters registration exercise in all the 180 registration centres in the Jomoro District.

The number involved those who have turned 18 and are now eligible to vote as well as adults who had never registered to exercise their franchise before.

The Jomoro Electoral Officer at the EC’s office, Mr Isaac Ano Otoo, disclosed the figure at the close of day 12 in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Half-Assini in the Western Region.

He reiterated the smooth and peaceful nature of the exercise, adding that his outfit had not recorded any hiccup since the inception of the exercise.

Mr.Otoo expressed the hope that the voter population in the area would swell up tremendously after the exercise looking at the massive turn-out.

The electoral officer appealed to eligible voters who have not as yet registered, to get their demographic data captured in the EC’s Voters’ register in order to exercise their franchise in the District level elections of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives(MMDCEs) slated for December 10,2019.
