NFF shortlist 7 candidates for Super Eagles job – Report

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has shortlisted seven candidates for the vacant Super Eagles job, SCORENigeria reports.

Finidi George, who was appointed as interim coach is reportedly among the seven candidates listed by the federation.

The current Enyimba FC boss was among the coaches who submitted their applications to the NFF for the position.

The former Ajax man was in charge of the team for the Morocco tour where the Super Eagles engaged Ghana and Mali in friendlies.

Nigeria beat rivals Ghana 2-1 at the Stade de Grande in Marrakech before losing 2-0 to the Eagles of Mali in the second friendly encounter at the same venue.

The NFF is set to announce a new head coach to replace José Peseiro next month.

The Portuguese gaffer left the job after guiding the Super Eagles to the finals of the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire where they lost 2-1 to the host.
