New twist to O’Reilly student murder case

Tension ran high at the La District Court today as the O’Reilly student murder case unfolded.

The court is grappling with uncertainty over the accused’s age, prompting demands for a medical report to determine their true age.

The father of the deceased, Enock Bortei Sackey grieving and suspicious, expressed concerns about foul play to Adom News.

He pointed out discrepancies in the accused’s stated age – initially 23, then 18 when they appeared in court.

This inconsistency has fueled the family’s dissatisfaction with the proceedings.

The family, determined to seek justice, arrived in multiple buses and vowed to fill the court premises tomorrow September 20, 2024 at 1 p.m.

Chief Inspector Paul Osei Adjei who is holding the brief for the main prosecutor requested a week’s extension to obtain the medical report.

But the judge, Adwoa Benaso Asumadu-Sakyi denied the plea, adjourning the case until tomorrow, Friday at 1:pm.
