Netizens react to Father Ankrah surpassing Wode Maya in YouTube subscribers

In a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, popular blogger Edhub announced that Ghanaian skit maker Father Ankrah has surpassed one of the biggest YouTube creators on the African continent, Wode Maya, in terms of subscribers.

In the post, Edhub wrote, “Ghanaian comic actor Father Ankrah has become the first Ghanaian to reach 2 million subscribers on YouTube and now has the most subscribed YouTube channel in Ghana.”

Currently, Wode Maya has just over 1.58 million YouTube subscribers and averages at least 20,000 viewers per video.

His most-watched video has 12 million views, while Father Ankrah’s most-watched video has 1.3 million views.
