Netizens fume as Korra Obidi travels to Hawaii after N75 million GoFundMe donation

Nigerians on social media have taken a swipe at Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi to task her for allegedly using the $50,000 goal of her GoFundMe campaign to fund a trip to Hawaii.

Remember that Korra Obidi set up a GoFundMe page on Friday, May 10, 2024, just to raise money for a reputable attorney to represent her in her child’s custody battle against her ex-husband, Justin Dean.

Obidi had set out to raise $100,000 through the GoFundMe but more than $50,000 which is equivalent to N75,125,000 was contributed by more than 950 people worldwide.

Sharing details about the GoFundMe, Korra wrote: “As a mother, it’s time to fight for myself and my kids.”

After raising the funds, Korra made the unexpected decision to reverse course.

The mother of two revealed her plans for a Hawaiian holiday during a live Facebook session on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Her choice drew criticism from online users, who insulted her and said that the primary goal of the GoFundMe was not to sue her husband but rather to support her opulent lifestyle.
