Two people who work at a Galamsey site at Sefwi Datano have been drown to death. This incident happened at Sefwi Datano in the Western Region of Ghana.
Mustapha and Mumuni are the names of the deceased and they were very closed friends.
It was reported that Mustapha went into the pit to fix the tubes so that water can be produced to wash the gold. They waited for him for some minutes but he didn’t show up.
This made Mumuni one of the workers dived into the pit to save him but he too did not come back.
The people around went into the pit to save the two friends but they found them dead in the pit.
The bodies have been retrieved and handed over to the police for further investigations.
