NDC reschedules Flagbearer Election date; slashes G¢400K Fee by GH¢100K and MORE

The National Council and the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress have overturned the decision to charge presidential aspirants Ghc400,000 cedis, slashing the amount to GH¢100,000.

They have also extended sale of nomination forms to Saturday 8th December 2018.

The Presidential primaries has also been postponed to 26th Jan 2019.

This follows a petition filed by 8 of the aspirants who were aggrieved about the entire process.

In their petition, they called for an amount of 100,000 cedis for filing fees and also asked that National Chairman and General Secretary be made to step aside.

It is unclear what the committee’s pronouncements were on the other reliefs the aspirants sought.
