NDC boycotts today’s IPAC meeting

A source at the party headquarters told Kasapa 102.5 FM that the party feels slighted by the late communication of today’s meeting.

“We had a message informing us of the impending meeting around 12:00 pm, which is not appropriate” he said.

The newly reconstituted leadership of the Commission is meeting the various parties to hold discussions in relation to the Electoral Calendar.

Top on the Agenda for today’s meeting includes deliberations on the 2018 limited voter registration exercise, the referendum on the creation of new regions, among others.

The Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) was instituted by the Electoral Commission in March 1994, to assemble representatives of the various political parties and members of the Electoral Commission on monthly basis, to build a cordial working relationship between the Electoral Commission and the political parties to discuss electoral issues.
