National Security, FBI after Anas Aremeyaw Anas?

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region has revealed that the National Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are on the heels of Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI over their alleged dubious dealings in the country and other parts of the world.

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong said, he has sent the original video recordings of Anas and his alleged dubious dealing to the Presidency, the National Security, the FBI and other security institutions for them to have first-hand information about the dealings of Anas.

The vociferous MP for Assin Central premiere his exposé video, dubbed: “Who Watches the Watchman” at the forecourt of Ken City Media at Madina in Accra on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

The video, which he said was his own version of secret recordings of how the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, operates undercover, was shown to hundreds of people.

Mr Agyapong is against Anas’ modus operandi and insisted that was why he had been motivated to expose him (Anas).

On June 6, 2018, the Tiger Eye PI premiered the Anas’s investigative video titled Number 12 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Dubbed “When misconduct and greed become the Norm”, the video captured alleged corrupt practices in Ghana’s football administration.

Public interest in the documentary heightened when the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, filed a complaint at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service against the Former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, for allegedly using his (President’s) name and that of the Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to extort money from some purported investors after watching portions of the video.

Mr Agyapong is therefore not satisfied with the showing of the 45-minutes portion of the raw and original footages of Anas and his Tiger Eye PI but has threatened to make sure Anas is dealt with.

Speaking in an interview with Sankofa Radio which was monitored by Prime News Ghana, Mr Ken Agyapong said “I have sent a copy to the National Security…I have served them with the videos. I have served the FBI also with the videos…I have given a copy to the Presidency and they all are after him”.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP said: “for the past four or five successive IGPs if you are being appointed, you go to Anas office for you to be interviewed before you are appointed”.

“That is why he is bragging that no police officer can do him anything”, he explained.
