Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Administration, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, was overcome with emotion during a family gathering following the deaths of her two brothers within a few weeks of each other.

The emotional moment comes after the family suffered two major losses involving the late Dr Isaac Atteh Bampoe Addo and his twin brother, Sidney Nii Oko Bampoe Addo.
Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo, a former Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), died on August 21, 2026, at the age of 59. His death was followed by that of his twin brother, Sidney Nii Oko Bampoe Addo, who passed away on September 14, 2026, also at the age of 59.
The deaths occurring within a short period have brought significant grief to the family, with Nana Oye Bampoe Addo among those mourning the loss of her two siblings.
At the family gathering, mourners were seen seated under a canopy as relatives and well-wishers offered their condolences. Nana Oye was visibly emotional at one point, with people around her offering support and comforting her.
Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo was a prominent figure in Ghana’s public sector labour movement during his time as CLOGSAG Executive Secretary. Following his death, a remembrance service was held in Accra, where family members, public officials and friends gathered to honour his life and legacy.
His twin brother, Sidney Nii Oko Bampoe Addo, was also remembered by his family as a beloved brother, friend and servant of God. His death came only weeks after the passing of Isaac, adding another painful loss for the family.
The deaths have attracted condolences from relatives, colleagues, public officials and other well-wishers who have expressed sympathy to Nana Oye Bampoe Addo and the wider Bampoe Addo family.
