Former President Jerry John Rawlings has said his mother, Victoria Agbotui, is still alive contrary to rumours from unknown quarters of her demise.
“Madam Agbotui is alive, hale and hearty,” a statement from Mr Rawlings’ office said.
The statement urged Ghanaians to disregard the “unfortunate rumour”.
The former president’s mother will be a centenarian in September this year.
