Wema Sepetu is one of the most popular actresses in Tanzania and she has revealed she would want her husband to beat her from time to time since that will prove he loves her.

According to the Tanzanian star actress who is yet to marry, when her man beats her she and consoles her later, she gets the feeling that he loves her very much and she would want her future husband to do the same to her.

Wema Sepetu revealed that if for nothing at all she should not be denied slaps from time to time from her husband.

It was at the birthday celebration of her manager, Neema Ndepanya, that Wema Sepetu granted the interview to Tanzanian newspaper, Ijumaa Wikienda.

According to the report from the newspaper, Wema Sepetu said:

“Napenda mwanaume anipe kipigo kidogo siyo mwanaume mnaishi miaka yote, halafu hata kukupiga kofi kidogo hakupigi,”

Which loosely translates as:

“I like a man who beats me up occasionally, not one I’d to spend several years without hitting me, even just a slap.”

According to her critics, at this age and time, it’s unheard of for a woman not to talk of someone of her status to glorify domestic abuse.
