My friends used to laugh at me for given birth to Eight children

A father of eight by the name Mr. Akwasi Aboagye from the Eastern region of Ghana has painfully narrated how he is being mocked for giving birth to eight children and also staying in the forest.

Mr Akwasi said he was the only child of his parents, and all of them were staying in the forest. He was raised at the same place he is staying now but he didn’t get access to education due to financial problems.

The man said he got married to his wife Madam Mary Kwaikwe 9 years ago. Both of them are farmers and they only depend on the farm products, the couple is blessed with 8 children and the wife is pregnant again.

The sad part of their story is that they don’t have electricity at where they are staying. All the 8 children don’t go to school because they can’t afford their fees and the books they will need at school.

The only thing they have is a radio which helps them to listen to what is happening in Ghana. Mr. Akwasi again said it is not his intention to give birth to eight children, sometimes he feel sad about how his friends laugh at him because of the number of children he has given birth to. He can’t even go to the town to buy the things they need due to how he has been mocked by his friends.

They went to the hospital for family planning but they were told that his wife is having high blood pressure so they couldn’t get a method to help them stop giving birth. The man continued that they cannot also do an abortion whenever his wife gets pregnant.

Mr. Akwasi again said he needs help to get a better place in the next town so that he can move out of the forest with his family and also get a better future for the children.
