Ghana’s leading telecommunication company, MTN Ghana has commissioned an ultra-modern office complex at Kejetia in the Ashanti Regional capital.
The company is convinced that the sitting of the 3-storey edifice at Kejetia will serve a strategic business purpose of ensuring excellent service delivery to the traders and others who work in the Central Business District of Kumasi and showcase more of MTN’s hardware and services to clients who visit the office.
Northern Sector Manager of MTN Ghana, Nii Adotey Mingle, in a welcome address expressed the company’s appreciation to all customers, indicating that their contributions could not be overlooked especially when they have made the network number one in the country.
“As you may know 2019 has been declared as a year forour cherished customer to interact and to seek their feedback. There is no better way to express our gratitude also than to come to your doorsteps to interact with the very people whose contributions have made us the number one telecommunications company in Ghana,” he said.
Adding that, the old structure that used to be at the same location outlived its use in terms of design and capacity and hence a decision to have something that befits the kind of legacy Kumasi has.
The branch is expected to serve as a sales point for MTN products and servicesas well as sales of mobile Money Services, and payment points for monthly bills.
Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi praised MTN Ghana for their forecast in building a Customer Centre opposite the biggest market in Ashanti Region, Kejetia New Market Complex which has about 8000 stores.
He also appreciated their commitment in creationof employment for the people of Kumasi and Ashanti as a whole thereby boosting the economy of the city.
According to him, over one million people pass through the Central Business District of Kumasi everyday thereby making it a fertile ground for telecommunications business to thrive.
Hon. OseiAssibey Antwi disclosed, ‘the government has begun redevelopment works at the Kumasi Airport to the International status, while Central market redevelopment program will begin in no time after the traders are moved to the newly constructed Kejetia Market’.
KMA CEO urged MTN Ghana to help government by providing data to the doctors at KomfoAnokye Teaching Hospital for research and also help keep the environment clean and green by sending messages during calls to alert the people in the city to keep the city clean as they use to do during a festive season in Ghana.
The Manhyia Divisional Police Commander ACP Kwaku Buah seized the opportunity to thank MTN Ghana for helping them to arrest criminals in Kumasi and Ashanti Region as a whole.
According to him Ashanti Regional Police Command is in good relations with MTN Ghana as a reliable partner in the fight against crime, appealed to the company to strive to maintain its lead in the market and also assist policein the fight against cybercrime.
For his part, the Sawuahene Nana Kwaku Amankwa Sarkodie II who represents the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II thank MTN Ghana for their support during Otumfuo 20th Anniversary of his enstoolment and the match they organized between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas to grace Otumfuo anniversary.
He also used the opportunity to challenged MTN Ghana to help fight fraud in the operations, by controlling the activities of unscrupulous persons who use the network to defraud innocent people.
