MP organises free eye screening for drivers to reduce road accident

The member of  parliament for Agona East Constituency of Central Region Hon. Queenster Pokua Sawyer has organised a free eyes screening  along side DVLA seminar  for drivers in the constituency.

Kweku Ademah in an interview with the MP hinted that, her motive behind the eyes screening is to  drastically reduce the rampant vehicular accidents in the central region ahead of the Easter celebration.

During the eyes screening Hon. Pokua Sawyer donated 2 gallons of fuel each to over two hundred drivers in the area.

She has therefore advised drivers to be extra careful and vigilant when driving to curb to road accidents in the central region and Ghana as a whole.

On the other hands ,thepressradio.com in an interview with Madam Yaa Konadu who is road safety advocate during the program stated that,  most drivers do not know the uses and the names of the roads signs because they do not aquire their driving license in the proper way which is causing most road accident in the country.

She has however explain that, the duty of road  safety commission is to educate drivers to know their duties as drivers, to have their driving license in the proper ways and by so doing road accident will reduce in the country.“`

Finally, some drivers and okada riders also share their appreciation to their Hon MP for organizing such an educative program to reduce road accident in their area.
