Motor rider, passenger crushed to death at Wulensi

Two people have been crushed to death by a benz bus at Wulensi in the Northern region.

According to reports, the deceased were travelling from Wulensi on a motor bike when the incident happened.

Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Yussif Tanko confirmed this to Adom News.

He said the motor rider, 30-year-old Kassim Kaduri and a pillion rider Oldman Safiano, 25, were on Suzuki motor bike with registration number GT 7148 -H from Wulensi.

On reaching a section of the road in a curve, DSP Tanko noted that, there was a head on collision with a Benz bus with registration number AS 802 A loaded with passengers from Nakpayili heading towards Wulensi.

The rider and pillion rider, he stated died on the spot and bodies deposited at Bimbilla Government Hospital for postmortem.

The benz bus driver, Alhaji Adams Sulemana and the mate also sustained injuries and currently on admission at the same hospital.

Meanwhile, spot investigation by the police revealed that, the motor rider has no head lights but was using torch light to navigate his way through the darkness.
