Motor rider dies after accident in Obuasi

A motor rider has met his untimely death after he collided head-on with a Hyundai Grace Mini Bus with registration number AC 405- 23 at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region MyNewsGh.com reports.

The deceased identified as 27-year-old Kudus Habid according to police investigators, was riding an unregistered Royal Motor Bike from Asonkore heading towards Tutuka both suburbs of Obuasi.

On reaching a section of the road at Asonkore, he allegedly rode dangerously and in the process, collided head-on with an oncoming Hyundai Grace Mini Bus with registration number AC 405- 23 being driven by one driver Assan Edward.

The Victim Kudus Habid sustained serious injuries and was rushed to SDA Hospital at Obuasi for treatment but was pronounced dead shortly on arrival. The body of the deceased person was deposited at Obuasi Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy purposes.

The police have towed both the accident vehicle and the motorbike to the station for further action.
