Mother weeps as her 2-year-old daughter returns from school dead

A mother is seeking justice after her 2-year-old daughter passed away at school on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

The woman explained that her daughter, a student at Smiley Kids Montessori in Sangotedo, Lagos State, was healthy when she went to school but returned home deceased.

The grieving mother claimed that she was told her daughter drowned, but she suspected that the 2-year-old was actually electrocuted and then placed in the pool to make it appear as if she drowned.

She shared photos of the school, showing a pool with a high barricade meant to keep children away, questioning how a two-year-old could have climbed over it to reach the pool.

Displeased by the circumstances, the mother appealed to the Lagos State Government to investigate. The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has responded, assuring that they will look into the case.
