More trouble looms as sacked Deputy NADMO Boss’ ‘boy’ is appointed as his successor

The confusion within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Nalerigu-Gambaga Constituency of the North East Region is heightening following a decision that has been taken which could further disintegrate the party.

Barely a fortnight after Mr. Peter Wuni Baaga was dismissed as the Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), his close ally has been appointed to the same position.

MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that one Mr Mahama Saibu Mumuni who until the suspension of his boss from the party over comments he made on radio was a key figure in his campaign as a parliamentary candidate,  has since accepted the appointment amidst wagging tongues.

The latest move is said to have deepened cracks within the party in the wake of already existing acrimony following the suspension and dismissal of the Parliamentary Aspirant.

Key figures within the party in the area describe the move as a betrayal and have threatened to advice themselves going forward wondering why such a wrong move could be made.

It would be recalled that Mr Peter Wuni Baaga was two weeks  ago suspended for making certain utterances on live radio the party described as breaches according to the Regional Executives of the NPP

“This action has been necessitated by certain utterances you made during a radio program at Tizaa Fm, a local radio station based in Nalerigu in the evening of 12th May 2020. Your utterances were in breach of Article 4(7) of the NPP Constitution and the General Guidelines governing the parliamentary primaries issued by the General Secretary of the party. The Regional Chairman as well as the Regional Executive Committee are in possession of a recorded tape of the program and are compelled to initiate disciplinary action against you”, a copy of the suspension letter intercepted by MyNewsGh.com read in part.
