Missing taxi driver’s rotten body found in a bush at Central region

A Taxi driver in his thirties, Eric Adu who went missing one week ago with his car in Mankessim in the Mfanteman Municipality of the Central Region has been found dead in a bush suspected to have been killed and dumped there.

The deceased is said to have left home on his normal duties as a taxi driver but didn’t return home that fateful day.

His neighbours thought he was doing night riding as some taxi drivers do hence they didn’t bother when he failed to come home.

After a couple of days, the neighbours sensed danger and enquired of his whereabouts from his relatives who didn’t have a clue about where he was.

The matter was then reported to the Mankessim Police for an investigation. The police were later informed about the sighting of a decomposing body.

The wife of the deceased and some family members who visited the scene were able to identify him by his clothes although the body had decomposed.

Sticks and stones were found beside him, a possible indication that he might have been beaten and killed.

Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan reported that due to the decomposed state of the body, the police used a shovel to collect his remains.

An investigation into the death by the Mankessim police is underway.
