The sad incident occurred about three weeks ago when Charles Nti missing and found dead in Mim waterworks.
A 31-year-old man, Clement Kwaku Gyimah has been found dead at Mim river Ahumasu in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region.
The deceased was discovered today, Wednesday, April 14, 2021, floating in the stream that supplies water to some part of the township.
Mr Kwaku Braimah, father of the deceased, in an interview with Soireenews, said Mr Kwaku Gyimah left home three days ago and did not return so it became a concern.
“We had information that someone has drowned in River Ahumaso we went there and saw my son clothes and his Mobile phone on the river site but didn’t see him,” he said.
Youth, Chiefs and Fetishist Priest went to the river and attempted to retrieve the dead body for two consecutive days which yielded no results.
Two additional fetish priests intervened with rituals before they were able to retrieve the body on the third day.
It was unclear if the incident was homicide or accident as no marks were found on the corpse to suggest trauma before death. The body has been transferred to Goaso Municipal Hospital for autopsy and preservation.
