Minority MP’s and NDC Grassroot brouhaha will produce more Independent Candidates in NDC come 2024 – CLDG

The CEO for Center for Leadership and Democratic Governance (CLDG) Mr. Apatsea Isaac Kwasi has stated that failure for NDC hierarchy to solve the NDC grassroot members and Minority members of parliament differences will result in producing more independent candidates in NDC come 2024.
He said as Human beings and a group in our interactions differences may occur and quick approach must be adopted to handle such issues in order for the group to emerge more stronger, in our local parlance we say ‘ we agree to disagree’.
He said leadership must not sit unconcerned for the issue to escalate before a solution is found. NDC is the biggest opposition party currently in Ghana. It is the party likely to make government if Ghanaians get fed up with the NPP government and as such Ghanaians will want to know the quick way they will use to handle such problems when the engulf Ghana as country.
Mr. Apatsea Isaac Kwasi again is pleading that the grassroots exercise patience since they outnumber the members of parliament and continuous difference may result in apathy in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as party.
The issue with the minority MPs must be of serious concern to them since a political party sponsored them to parliament and they can’t disassociate themselves from the political party which saw them to Parliamentary since they are not independent MP’s. As leaders they must have big heart and be ready to accept concerns raised by their grassroot who were their main support when they wanted to go to Parliament.
More so, if this difference continues NDC will witness more independent candidates in 2024 and future parliamentary Elections as a the only solution by the grassroot as punishment to the minority MPs.
Conclusion, the relationship between the minority members of Parliament and the NDC grassroot must must be more stronger after this brouhaha.
