Minnesota United announce the signing of Ghana forward Kelvin Yeboah
Major League Soccer club Minnesota United have announced the signing of forward Kelvin Yeboah to a Designated Player contract, acquiring the 24-year-old from Genoa of Italy’s Serie A.
The Italy-born Ghanaian is under contract through the 2027 season, with a club option for 2028.
“Kelvin is an exciting young player with extensive experience among top soccer players and world-class clubs,” said Minnesota United chief soccer officer Khaled El-Ahmad.
“Minnesota welcomes Kelvin, and I look forward to seeing the impact he can make within our club.”
Yeboah has a notable record, with 43 goals and 26 assists in 181 career matches in Europe. During his time in Genoa, he played on loan in three different leagues.
Most recently, he joined Belgium’s Standard de Liege in February, scoring six goals in 14 appearances after playing the first half of the season at Montpellier in the French Ligue 1.
Minnesota United aims for Yeboah’s addition to boost their attacking options and overall performance in the coming seasons.
