Ghana is set to make giant strides in agricultural production following enhanced partnership between Mexico and government, a deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture has revealed.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting with the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Mexico and a delegation from the embassy, Mr Kennedy Osei-Nyarko noted that government is working hand in hand with their counterparts in Mexico to improve the yields of some crops in the country such as corn and to increase the nutritional levels.

Ambassador Julian Ventura was pleased with the development and hinted that the agricultural agenda between his government and Ghana is the most promising part of the relationship between both countries.

He stressed the need for both countries to partner to develop greater efforts to address technical and scientific challenges in the agricultural sector.

Ambassador Julian Ventura paid the courtesy call on the Mr. Kennedy Osei-Nyarko after meeting with true Foreign Affairs Ministry and later visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum in Accra.

The Mexican Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister is on a two-day visit in the country and is set to meet other stakeholders and ministers during his stay.
