Menzgold was a scam from day one – Bridget Otoo

TV3’s Bridget Otoo has added her voice to the current issue facing gold trading firm Menzgold.

According to the newscaster, the embattled firm owned by Nana Appiah Mensah has been a scam from day one.

She made this known when she shared a screenshot of YEN.com.gh’s report which indicate that the BNI will be investigating the activities of Menzgold.

Bridget in her caption for the screenshot intimated that Menzgold from day one has been a scam stressing that some celebrities know about it but they won’t talk because they are benefiting.

She also added that no state institution has conspired to bring Menzgold down as it is believed by some people.

The problems of Menzgold started two months ago, after the Security and Exchanges Commission (SEC) moved to close down operations of the firm with regards to taking deposits for gold investments.

Following SEC directives, it has been difficult for the company’s customers to reclaim their money.

Due to that, the customers have threatened to demonstrate against the management of the gold-trading firm, to demand full payment of their principal investments locked up with the company.
