Mentally deranged person sets furniture shop on fire

A male mentally deranged person has set a furniture shop at Ahodwo roundabout within the Kumasi Metropolis on fire.

According to owners of the shop, the man currently on the run had set fire to cook food close to the shop but out of carelessness it sparked and light up the whole shop.

Attempts to douse the inferno proved futile as thick smoke which it started with suddenly burst into flames.

A number of completed products and others that were being manufactured have been reduced to ashes as a result of the fire that started about an hour ago, MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.

Fire fighters are currently at the scene to douse the inferno that has also consumed a pack of wood purchased by the shop owners for the production of beds, living room furniture among others according to the owners.
