Meet Mahama’s nominee Linda Ocloo whose vetting sets a record as the shortest in Parliament

Her session on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, lasted less than 10 minutes, making it the shortest vetting process in the history of the 9th Parliament.

Unlike typical vetting sessions that involve rigorous questioning, Ocloo’s experience was markedly different.

The nominee, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency, barely had the chance to introduce herself before the Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin intervened.

Afenyo-Markin simply acknowledged Ocloo’s presence and the delegation that accompanied her.

Committee Chairman Bernard Ahiafor followed up by recognizing her guests before promptly discharging her, bringing the vetting to a conclusion.

Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo born February 21, 1971, is a Ghanaian politician and member of the Seventh, Eight, and the ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Shai-Osudoku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.
