Manhyia bans funerals in Asanteman ahead of Otumfuo’s anniversary

The Manhyia Palace in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has placed a ban on all funerals in Asanteman from Monday, 8 April 2019 to Monday, 29 April 2019.

This is to enable Asanteman mark the 20th Anniversary of the enstoolment of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the 16th Asantehene and has been the traditional ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom since 26 April 1999.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II succeeded Opoku Ware II in 1999.
