Man,23 arrested for killing 80yr-old ‘wizard’

A 30-year-old man, Iddrisu Ziblim, has been arrested for shooting an 80-year-old man, Mumuni Neendoo over witchcraft allegation at Kunyavula in Tamale.

Information gathered by Adom News indicated that the suspect accused Mr Neendoo of being a wizard after his 72- year-old father, Mumuni Zeblim’s short illness led to his death at Kunyavula.

 

Reports indicated that Mr Neendoo, who is a brother of Mr Zeblim, met his untimely death when he went to his brother’s house.

According to reports, the suspect, who could not come to terms with the demise of his father, allegedly shot the 80-year-old man to death after visiting their home.

The Northern Regional Crime Officer, Supt Otuo Acheampong, who confirmed the arrest to Adom News, said the suspect is currently in the custody of the Lamashegu Police Unit assisting with investigations.
