Man stabbed to death at Bolga

A man believed to be in his early forties has been stabbed to death in Dapooretindongo, a suburb of Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

The deceased suffered knife wounds on his stomach by unknown assailants.

The incident according to residents in Dapooretindongo, located in the heart of Bolgatanga, happened Monday night.

The residents said they woke up this morning and saw the body of an unknown person lying at the Sacred Heart Junior High School.

The residents who spoke to GBC’s Radio Ghana said the deceased was killed somewhere by the unknown assailants and dumped the body at the school’s premises.

The residents in the area say this is the first time they are witnessing such an unfortunate incident in the area. The people who trooped to the scene could not identify the deceased.

Police officers from the Bolgatanga Municipal Police Command who later got to the scene could not speak to the media as to what caused the death of the unidentified man.

The body has since been deposited at the Upper East Regional Hospital Morgue in Bolgatanga, pending autopsy.
